WS1.1 (Habits and Processes) 1.1      write daily
1.2     generate content and topic for writing
1.3      - write without resistance when given time, place and materials
1.4      - use whatever means are at hand to communicate and make meaning (drawings, letter strings, scribbles, letter approximations, etc
1.5      - make an effort to reread their own writing and listen to that of others, showing attentiveness to meaning by asking for more information or laughing

WS2.1 (Narrative Writing) 1.1 - contain a story that may be only a single event orseveral loosely linked, which the author may react to, comment on, evaluate, sum up or tie together 1.2 - Tell events as they move through time (control chronological ordering)
1.3 - Include gestures or drawings that support the meaning
1.4 - Incorporate storybook language (ex: and they lived happily ever after)

WS2.2 (Report Writing)
2.1 - Gather, collect and share information about a topic
2.2 - Maintain a focus, stay on topic
2.3 - Exclude extraneous information when prompted

WS3.1 (Style and Syntax)

1.1   use the syntax of oral language and so is easily to read
1.2    approximate some phrasing and rhythms of literary language

WS3.2 (Vocabulary/Word Choice)
2.1 use words in their writing that they use in their conversation, usually represented phonetically
2.2 use in their writing some words that they like from   the books that are read to them
2.3 make choices about which words to use on the basis of whether they accurately convey the child's meaning

can decipher

1.4     re-read or read along , alone, with a partner or adult – 2 to 4 familiar books each day

1.5     engage with a range of genres

2.1     hold a book right side up and turn pages in correct direction

2.2     be able to follow text with a finger

2.3     pay attention to what words they are reading
