Our varsity football team will host Parker tonight at 7:00. This is the last home game for our team during the regular season play, so come on out and support your Commanders.

 

Grade Recovery is now available to those students that made a D or F. It will be offered in the Media Center Monday thru Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00.

 

Ed White will host a blood drive on Monday November 23rd from 8:00 to 1:00. See Coach Gwynes in student activities for more information and to make an appointment. A government issued ID is required to donate.

 

Boys Basketball try outs continues today. See Mrs. Reesh in 4f for details.

 

The last stadium cleanup will be this Saturday at 10am.  All Civitans should plan to attend.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Harvey in room 4J.

 

Thursday, November 12, – It’s all about you!!! Underclassman portraits by Lifetouch are here, so mark the date and get ready to show your style. Whether your look is high fashion or casual cool, this is your chance to share with friends and remember the great year you’ve had. If you have any questions or need a portrait packet, stop by Mrs. Pickard’s room in 2G before school or after school.

 

Mrs. Desir will be holding an informational meeting on Friday November 13th for EF tours. We are going to Mexico. The meeting will be held in Portable 8 at 4:30. Please bring a parent to this meeting.

If any freshman, sophomore or junior has any homecoming week pictures they would like to go into the yearbook, please drop them off to Mrs. Pickard in room 2G before or after school.

The Jr. Civitans are holding a food drive to support a local charity for the holiday season. Please bring your canned or dry goods to school and help out a family in need. Donations can be given to classroom teachers or in the food barrel in the front office. Thanks for your help!

Sophomores, juniors and seniors…are you curious about what you might be good at? Don’t know what you want to study in college or what to do after high school? Then that the ASVAB test. More information about this test is on the way.

Attention GSA members and all interest students. JASMYN, which stands for the Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network, will be coming to the GSA meeting on Thursday November 12th at 2:30 in room 6A. There will be cookies, brownies, chips and great conversation. There will also be a GSA social on Friday the 13th at the Sake House the in 5 Points area at 6pm. All are welcome.

Congratulations to our girl’s softball team for beating Raines yesterday in a double hitter. The scores were 10 to 4 and 14 to 6. This makes there record 6 and 0. Way to go ladies.

Attention All members of Divas & Gents. T-Shirt money is due today at 1:45. There will be a brief meeting at 1:45 in Room 2B, to pay for T-shirt. Bring your 15$. Also there will be a brief officers meeting afterwards.
