Important Information Regarding The Front School Drive

The arrival and dismissal procedures will change in order to provide a safe learning environment.  Drains and new pipes are being installed along our front drive due to the severe flooding that occurs when it rains.  The construction is scheduled to begin October 1, 2009 and will take approximately 3 weeks.  It is extremely important that we follow the new procedures carefully to ensure safety and control during arrival and dismissal. 

* Car riders will be dropped off and picked up at the bus loading zone (students cannot be dropped off before 8:00 a.m.; it is unsafe)
* Daycare vans will be dropped off and picked up at the bus loading zone.
* Bus #582 will be picked up and dropped off at the entrance to the cafeteria
* Front Walkers will exit from the main lobby and be escorted by a teacher
* Back Walkers remain the same and will be escorted by a teacher to the basketball courts

 

Dismissal times will remain the same, beginning at 2:45 p.m. (except on Early Release Wednesdays, as dismissal will begin at 1:45 p.m.).  Please pick up on time to avoid a late fee charge of $10.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school at 745-4904.  We are happy to assist in any way.

 

Help Support Fort Caroline Elementary by purchasing a Legacy Tile!

You left your mark on The Fort with your involvement, now leave your legacy with a tile that will last for generations to come.  Tiles can be engraved with your children’s and/or family’s name, a memorial tribute, an honorarium, a special event, the name of a community business, etc.  Your imagination is the limit!  Funds raised from the sale of these engraved tiles will help purchase furniture, equipment, classroom supplies, and other campus infrastructure needs.  The engraved tiles will be permanently installed on our walkways around the school; this year’s tiles will be laid by the flagpole.  Deadline to order is April 1, 2010.  Click here to download an order form.
