First Coast High School FCAT Results |
2007 FCAT Writes+April 27, 2007 - The first phase of our school’s 2007 grade is now official. FCAT Writes scores have arrived, and First Coast showed the highest gains in Duval County. Our tenth graders averaged 4.1 out of a possible 5 points on their FCAT Writes essays. In addition, 82% of our students scored a 3.5 or higher which surpassed both the district and the state averages of 79%. How did we compare to the rest of the schools in the county? Only four high schools had higher averages than First Coast, and three of those schools were academic magnet schools. We are very proud of this outstanding performance and would like to give a special thanks to all of the teachers who worked so hard preparing our tenth grade students, especially the English II teachers: Ms Allen, Mrs. Fighera, Mrs. Haupt, and Ms Moeller. For Parents - 2007 FCAT Writing+ scores are now available to parents via the FCAT Parent Network (www.fcatparentnetwork.com). Parents will need to call the school at 757-0080 to receive their user names and passwords that will allow them to access the FCAT results for their child(ren).
