The FCHS Naval Junior ROTC program received the "Unit Achievement" award for exceptional performance.

 FCHS Choruses, ensembles, and solos received 117 superior medals and 121 excellent medals at the Florida State Music Performance Assessment in Tallahassee.

 Senior Daryl Barnes has been selected co-district baseball player of the year for district 3-5A and selected to play in the North Florida Senior All-Star game, May 18th at UNF.

March 27

- Senior Richard Pitts has been accepted to the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island.  Senior Roland Pitts has been accepted to the Citadel Military Academy in Charleston, South Carolina. Both Richard and Roland are FCHS NJROTC cadets.

March 14  - FCHS Marching Buccaneer Band performed in the 184th St. Patrick's Day Parade in Savannah, Ga.
March 1 - Members of the FCHS Chorus received Outstanding ratings at District Music Performance Assessment in St. Augustine.  Click here to read more.
Feb. 20 - Buccaneer actor Shawn Price won the English Speaking Union's District Shakespeare Acting Competition at Theatre Jacksonville. Shawn will be taking an all expense paid trip to New York City in April to compete against 60 students from around the U.S. at National Shakespeare Acting Competition.
Feb. 19 - Senior Roland Pitts placed 6th in the State Wrestling Tournament.

- 10 Buccaneer athletes received scholarships and signed letters of intent to attend  on National Signing Day.

Feb. 2 - FCHS Drama wins Best Actor and Best Actress honors at the Thespian One-Act Festival.
