Air Traffic Control
Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology, Aviation Academy, was chosen by Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) to participate in a dual enrollment program as part of its Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved Air Traffic Control program. Students who enroll in this program can earn free college credit toward an Associate of Science degree in Aviation Operations. This credit may also be transferable to other colleges as electives.
In addition to being an adjunct instructor in the School of Aviation at FSCJ, I am a retired air traffic controller. Also, I served four years on active duty with the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller and seven years as an aircrew member in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
My goal at Peterson Aviation Academy is to prepare students to be successful in their academic classes. I strongly believe that if the student will actively participate in their education they will be successful.
