The Diesel Equipment Technology class is a four-year program of study. Upon completion, students will receive a Duval County Vocational Certificate in the area of Diesel
Equipment Technology. This certificate will
be awarded to those who have completed a satisfactory number of objectives from our curriculum, as well as pass a written test.
Students are encouraged to maintain a locker in the Diesel shop area with a change of clothes available at all times. Students are asked to have safety glasses ready to use in
their lockers. The students furnishes
the glasses. Only school-supplied locks may be used on lockers.

The Automotive Technologies cluster being offered is broken down into six areas of instruction. As each one of the areas is completed the
student gains a completion point for that area. Students must complete the Automotive Service Technology area 1 and 2 core before they are able to advance to the remaining areas of Automotive Service Technology -- which may be taken in any order of the student's
ability.
