As we congratulate our 2008 SkillsUSA  contestants for advancing to state competition, I would like you to remind them that they must reach academic and behavioral expectations.  They must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and have NO referrals for any reason for the months of March and April in order to participate in Bradenton April 28-March 1. They should continue preparing for their contests where scholarships, job opportunities and prizes can be awarded for their efforts.

CTE Teachers, Please check with your 1st, 2nd & 3rd place SkillsUSA contestants and be sure they are planning on completing at State.  Frank Yongue needs to know asap and we do too to finalize arrangements with District to pay for the trip.  According to Frank 3rd Place Collision Repair, Facials, Nail Care, Cosmetology will not be invited to compete, while 3rd Place in CPR, Poster Design Teams, Screen Printing, Spelling, Job Skills Demo "A" and  Extemporaneous Speaking & Writing will be allowed to participate.
