Summer Reading 2008 PHILOSOPHY Our goal at Fletcher High School is to continue academic learning throughout the summer months. Reading is a skill that prepares students for life; students read for inspiration, information, perspectives, and enjoyment. Focus books have been selected for each grade level. These books will be discussed and assessed during the fourth week of school, September 2008. A student who chooses not to complete the reading assignment will receive a falling grade on the assignment. Students in both honors and AP classes will have a second novel to read from the suggested list.
