Principal's Message
Welcome Back, Rebels!
We are all looking forward to a rewarding and exciting year here at Nathan B.
Forrest High School. Our theme for
the 2011-2012 school year puts into words our desire to make sure that you have
all the tools you need to be successful.
Every student is part of a Small Learning Community or house, and we encourage
each of you to become involved as your house establishes its unique identity.
You also have the opportunity to participate in various clubs and activities.
Try out for a sport, join a club, run for an office – make your high school
years memorable. Make sure you are an active participant in the “Rebel
Experience”.
Part of that experience is the academic climate of our school. Be present every
day, be on time to class, bring the materials you need to be successful, and
make the most of the education offered to you. This student handbook is the
first step toward that goal.
Challenge yourself to always do your personal best, and Forrest High School will
achieve beyond everyone’s expectations. Remember, pride in your school begins
with pride in yourself, and “You can’t hide Rebel pride!”
I look forward to a year of great accomplishments.
