My Teacher for President by Kay Winters
Dear Channel 39, I saw on TV that elections are coming. At school we have been learning about the president’s job. My teacher would be just right! Oliver
Oliver can think of all kinds of reasons why his teacher should be president. She’s used to being followed every -where. She goes to lots of meetings. When she walks into a room, people pay attention. She likes to go on trips, and she believes in peace. Oliver imagines his teacher in the country’s top spot and pays tribute to her role in his life at the same time.
