At Gregory Drive Elementary School we believe that all children can learn and experience success. Through the collaborative efforts of the faculty, staff, parents, community and students, we will nurture a love of learning and instill an appreciation and respect for life.
Our caring, dedicated faculty and staff will provide children with an environment that fosters high standards in learning, Every area of the school will reflect our dedication to standards being taught in each classroom. We will respond to new ideas with positive attitudes, open minds, willingness to change and a sense of humor. Working together as a community of learners, we will share ideas, display respect for one another, exercise responsibility and grow professionally.
Parents, as their children's first teachers, will instill in them the value of education and an appreciation for learning by being well-informed participants in the educational process. Parents and community contribute to the children's education by supporting teachers, sharing their expertise and volunteering. Support and involvement from the community and parents will expand learning beyond the walls of our school and into a world of knowledge.
We will promote a safe, nurturing and inviting environment where all conflicts are resolved peacefully. With mutual respect the community, parents, faculty, staff and students will share responsibility for the governance and accountability process. Our school will offer a stimulating, motivating and positive atmosphere in which optimal learning can take place.
Through standard based learning, enrichment, technology, exposure to the arts and multicultural activities, our students will be socially, emotionally, physically and academically successful. By building on their strengths, they will develop a strong sense of pride in themselves and confidence in their abilities. Through these combined efforts, our students will become lifelong learners, good citizens and productive members of society.
