Safety Net Programs

IN-CLASS TUTORING includes the following:

• Running records
• Listening centers
• Guided Reading

For all students on free and reduced lunch, Hyde Grove offers free SES TUTORING after school in both Reading and Math. If you would like more information about the program, and to know if your child qualifies for it, please contact Mrs. Collins, one of our own highly-valued teachers here at "the Grove".

Offered after school hours for after-school enrichment, is EXTENDED DAY. Please contact Tarsha Watson for a fee schedule, and more specifics about their activities.

Hyde Grove has two STAR classes, designed to help students who have encountered academic struggles and need an alternate approach to learning.

Another program specific to "the Grove" is our three Pre-K ESE classes, which prepare young, develop-mentally delayed students for regular Kindergarten classes.

And lastly, our school is totally committed to READING FIRST, designed to accelerate young readers to higher levels of reading skills, such as fluency, comprehension, vocabulary and phonemic awareness.
