2012 Magnet Tour Information
John E. Ford K-8 magnet tours begin Thursday, January 12, 2012.
Please be on time, as late arrivals may miss important parts of the tour, and may not qualify for a signature at the end of the tour.
In order to receive a signature on your magnet application, you must complete a tour of the school. Signatures will be given on completed forms in the office after the tour ends. Pre-K magnet applications are turned in to the front office. Kindergarten and higher grade applications must be received in the Magnet Office of the Duval County School Board building (1701 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32207)
The deadline to submit a magnet application for the 2012-2013 school year is quickly approaching. The Duval County Public Schools Magnet Programs Office is accepting applications through Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Applications are available at the Magnet Programs Office, located in the Duval County Public Schools Administration Building, 1701 Prudential Drive. Parents and guardians may also download applications or apply online by visiting www.magnetprograms.com. Online access will close at midnight on February 29. The Magnet Programs Office will have a magnet application drop-off day on Saturday, February 25 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., at the Duval County Public Schools Administration Building. Faxed applications are not accepted. Only applications that are received or postmarked by the deadline will be processed in the magnet lottery. For more information call 904-390-2082.
