On June 9th Justina Road Elementary faculty and staff celebrated the wonderful service of two extremely dedicated members of Justina's community, Mr. Sanders and Mrs. Bell. The students (with help) put together a video to express our gratitude.
Why We Should Eat Vegetables!

Teachers at Justina Road Elementary perform a persuasive skit that attempts to convince students to eat vegetables instead of ice cream! The students will use this as an example for when they create their own persuasive skits.
February Book of the Month: Ish

Ms. Scarpato, Ms. Pressley, and Ms. Brown (along with the help of a student) present the February book of the month, Ish. The author, Peter Reynolds, uses Ish to promote thinking creatively.
Mentos and Diet Coke

Justina Road Elementary fifth graders experiment with what happens when you place Mentos candies in a Diet Coke bottle. The students predicted and reflected using science terminology they have been learning.
