We are trucking along in Kindergarten! Already, students have learned most of their letters and letter sounds and they are beginning to master patterns!
We are working on informational writing, and math will be counting 0 - 50 and addition to 10.
While great things continue to happen in our classrooms, please keep up the good work at home- reading with your child (and filling out reading logs, of course J), helping your child with homework, and drilling sight words. Remember, the knowledge and skills taught in Kindergarten are mastered through practice, practice, practice.
We are becoming excellent readers, writers, and mathematicians!
One quick reminder, parents, please keep those signed agendas coming in every morning!
Behavior
Behavior grades for
Kindergarten are as follows:
White = E
Green = S
Yellow = S+ Purple = S-
Blue = S
Pink = U
Pre-K Behavior
In Pre-K, the behavior system consists
of
green,
yellow and
red
smiley faces. Children will end the day either on one of two
green smiley faces, a
yellow caution face, or a
red frowny face.
