Principal's Message

This is a festive and busy time of year as we head into the Holidays and the mid-year point in the school year!  It is a time not only for celebrations, family, and friends, but also a time for setting goals for the future.

At Lake Forest, we are working with our students to help them become diligently aware of their own skills, talent, and performance ~ both in academics and in the arts.  Our teachers are spending time with students individually, having conversation about the students’ progress as well as setting goals for next steps and next challenges.  We want to prepare our students for the next steps in their lives by helping them take responsibility for their own present and future.

We are so grateful to our community and parents for assisting us in this endeavor!  We have had more than 700 volunteers hours so far this year at Lake Forest, and that’s been incredible!  We’ve had tremendous support from our business partners, Fidelity Investments and Citicorp, in providing mentoring activities and school supplies.  We’ve also had the wonderful good fortune to partner with Riverside Presbyterian Day School, as their students have come to Lake Forest to provide beautiful landscaping and service projects.

Our Lake Forest family is incredibly grateful for the support of the community, and we welcome the continued involvement.  Our children are focused on reaching new heights in achievement this year, and we are determined to help them succeed!  We welcome the Jacksonville community to come see the wonders of our Lake Forest Stars, and to participate in their future!  J
