PTSA Meeting Minutes

June 3, 2008

Meeting called to order promptly at 5:30 p.m.

Shelia Ross appointed temporary secretary to take minutes of this meeting.

Mrs. Worthern, County PTSA President, discussed guidelines and what needs to be done in order to establish board members.

Pam Wick, Carl Mann and Terri Chrisly volunteered to serve on the bylaws committee.

A motion was made by Robbie McKee and seconded by Julie Howard to change the name of Landon Middle School PTSA to Julie Landon College Preparatory Leadership PTSA a/k/a Julia Landon College Prep. PTSA

Ann Herkov, Carol Hall, Terry Shubrick, Robbie McKee and Pam Hall all volunteered to serve as the nominating committee.

A Parent discussed Leadership Scholarship to Innisbrook – He was looking for two volunteers to attend the summer workshop on July 11-13, 2008 in Tarpon Springs.

The remainder of the meeting was spent brain storming and discussing ideas pertaining to programs, fundraisers and awards for the children.

Next meeting scheduled for June 24, 2008 at 5:30 p.m.
