National History Day's core program is a
national contest for students in grades 6-12. Social studies
students at Julia Landon will conduct research related to an annual
theme and present their findings in one of five categories:
exhibits,
documentaries,
performances,
papers or
websites.
Students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while
creating their entries.
Students will follow a schedule that will guide them through the various steps of their projects. Specific dates for the timeline completion can be found on the timeline worksheets. The guided timeline assist students in tackling their project in stages, learning and perfecting along the way to the final product.
