LaVilla School of the Arts is a proud member of the
National Junior Honor Society. Students interested in becoming members
must meet certain standards beginning in the sixth grade. To be
considered for National Junior Honor Society induction, you must meet the
following criteria:

Members and
prospective members shall maintain a cumulative GPA (per national
guidelines) no lower than a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale counting from the
sixth grade

Members and
prospective members shall have received no disciplinary reprimands or
chastisements for academic violations including, but not limited to,
plagiarism, copying, or cheating.

Members and
prospective members shall have received no disciplinary referrals which
resulted in either in-school or out-of-school suspensions of any length.

Members and
prospective members shall have received no disciplinary referrals for
violations of the Student Code of Conduct in the Class II category or
higher. (see Student Code of Conduct booklet).

Members or
prospective members who receive or have received disciplinary referrals
for a Class I violation of the Student Code of Conduct will be reviewed
by the faculty council on a case-by-case basis.
Qualifying students will be contacted later in the school year.
