Through the Years...

Paxon School for Advanced Studies (PSAS) is one of two International Baccalaureate schools (the other one is Stanton High school) in Duval County Florida. PSAS was founded in the 50's, and was originally the Paxon Airfield. Across the street from the Airfield was Paxon Junior High, which is now Paxon Middle School and is also now a IB school. As time progressed the city grew, and so did Paxon. In the mid 90's Paxon High School became Paxon School for Advanced Studies, which took 4 years to transition. Today Paxon School for the Advanced Studies has  the largest campus, but the smallest student body, in Duval County. Paxon_School_for_Advanced_Studies on Wikipedia
