Math and
Science Magnet Program
The blue five-pointed star is the symbol of Lee High, as well as the
universal symbol of knowledge. The numerous rays of the
multi-pointed star symbolizes the many different areas of knowledge in
Science, Math, Engineering, and Technology. The box behind the stars
represents the typical constraints of thought that exist today, and the
extension of the rays of the gray star beyond the box represents the
"out-of-the-box" thinking that students need to be successful in science
and technology. The box also forms a pyramid viewed from above, also
a universal symbol of knowledge. The pyramid is unfinished,
symbolizing the continuing quest for knowledge. The blue and gray
are the colors of Lee High, and the upper white sections of the box form
the letter "L".

Engineering Academy
The blue five-pointed star is the symbol of Lee High, as well as the
universal symbol of knowledge. The squares represent digital pixels,
showing the contribution of computers to technology. The squares
also represent graph paper, which preceded computers as a drafting tool
for engineering. The gray squares form the letter "L", and the blue
squares form the letter "G", which stands for "Lee Generals." The
blue squares also form a spiral path ending at the star, which students
must travel in their search for a solution. The overall simplicity of the
design symbolizes the efficiency which is a fundamental ingredient of a
good engineering solution. |
