Mathematics

The Mathematics Department at Robert E. Lee High School is fully staffed to provide the finest of instruction. The course offerings cover a wide range of Mathematics topics designed to prepare students in the 4 Magnet “paths” of Mathematics, Science, Pre-Engineering and Traditional for College level work. In addition to “regular” courses for high school credit only, Dual Enrollment (DE) with Florida Community College at Jacksonville and Advanced Placement (AP) courses are also offered to upper level students. Through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), College credit may also be earned for students who score above the 50th percentile on approved tests.

The clear and defined goal of the Mathematics Department is to prepare students at a level second to none for their Mathematics challenges beyond Robert E. Lee High School. For the Magnet Program student who prospers and grows within the programs offered, there is no reason why many of the lower level College courses could not be completed for credit prior to graduation from Robert E. Lee. Some of the courses offered include the following: Algebra I, Algebra I (Honors), Intensive Mathematics, Geometry, Geometry (Honors), Algebra II, Algebra II (Honors), Trigonometry, Analytic Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, DE Calculus, DE Statistics
