When a bus is late arriving to our school, let it first be noted the school is unaware of this.  The transportation office does not call and notify the school ahead of time if the bus is running late.  Usually around 3:05 if a bus has not arrived, the district transportation office is called and they will let us know if there is a problem with a bus at that time.  If the dispatcher tells us the bus will arrive within 5 minutes, we usually do not send students in to call parents.  If the bus is running later than the expected arrival time, we will then allow students to begin calling.  On our larger buses, parents please consider the fact that it takes time for 45-50 students to call home. It is our policy that we expedite this process as quickly as we can, however, if students do not know their numbers, an adult has to pull their card, give them their number and wait for a free line to clear.  In the afternoon the office is extremely busy and there are only four lines available for communication.  Hopefully, this will help clear up any misconceptions you may have experienced in the past few weeks.  If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact an administrator and we will be happy to assist you.  Thank you.
