Exciting New Family Fitness Program

Lone Star Extended Day and Positively Fit are teaming up starting in November to get your entire family fit! There is no cost to the parents, however, the long lasting benefits could be priceless to your family.

What we are asking is that as the Parent, Grandparent, or Caring Adult, you sign our pledge to support your child in participating in our program designed to keep your entire family active and eating healthy. Each month a Positively Fit Family Calendar will go out to those that sign up to the program. The calendars will highlight three different exercises of the month for your family to perform. Prizes and incentives will be advertised and awarded at the end of the month to the winning participants.

Lone Star has an Extended Day program that offers before school care beginning at 7:00 a.m. and after school care from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Mr. Edward Dutton is the Extended Day Director. We are fortunate to have nine very experienced extended day instructors on staff, many who have been with the program for 10+ years.

Extended Day offers group tutoring, homework assistance and a variety of enrichment activities. We also have a lot of fun with activities such as: moonwalks, ice cream parties, pizza parties, snow-cone parties, dance contests, art contests/activities, flag football and many more fun activities that keep the students active during those after school hours.
