I'm excited for music class this school year! We will be singing, dancing, playing xylophones, recorders, drums, and learning about music notes, music terms, and composers! I look forward to working with your child!

Recorders

All 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders are encouraged to purchase a recorder for the school year. 4th Graders will be learning the recorder through a program called "Recorder Karate," followed by a concert in the spring. Recorders can be purchased for under $5 from various stores, such as Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, any dollar store, etc. Your child will receive music, and having a recorder at home will allow them to practice. 3rd and 5th Graders will also be playing the recorder throughout the year. Your student may bring their own recorder to music class, or use one of the school recorders.

Chorus and Instrument Club

I will be accepting applications for 5th Grade students who are new to Lone Star this year. We practice in the mornings from 8:00-8:25, and we perform at various school events, such a Flag Raisings, Fall Festival, and Family Fun Night. See Mrs. Aiuppy for an application!
