Book is a
Web-Based Grade Book.

The Grade Book Program Contains a Parent
Portal That Will Provide Parents and Guardians With
Information About Grades, Progress Reports, Events, and
Attendance.
The Grade Book Requires
Username And Password Identification Prior To Access.
- Directions:
- To receive your
Username and Password you must come to Lone Star
with identification and proof of address (Each
parent and/or guardian must pick up their own
Username and Password: A husband, wife, or guardian
may not pick up the document for their household.
Each parent and/or guardian must pick up their own
Username and Password).
- Please be patient
if documents are not available for each child in a
family. This is a new program and we will take
names and conduct the necessary research for
resolution.
- The
parents/guardians name will appear by the word:
- Locations, Times,
and Dates to retrieve the document:
- The
Administrative Main/Front Office Of Lone Star:
7:30-5:30
- Beginning
at Open House in September.
- The document you
retrieve from Lone Star will have the following
components:
Parent/guardian name
My Username:_____
My Password:
______

1. In your internet browser type
https://dcps.mygradeportal.com
(You may click on the
link above to take
you directly to Grade Book-once it goes
live).

2. Type
your username and password in the login screen. If you
forget your username or password, click on the link “Forgot
Username and Password”

3. The
parent can select the teacher websites or student grades.
The “Help” will provide detail instructions.

If
your student recently entered Lone Star then a Username
and Password may not be ready for pick-up. It might be
a good idea to call the school prior to coming just to
make sure the document with the Parent/Guardian Username
and Password is available.

Access the Website:
To access student assignments and grades you
will need to go to:
https://dcps.mygradeportal.com via an Internet
connected computer. Type your username and password
into the corresponding text boxes on the homepage and
click the "Login" button.

Viewing Grades:
After logging in to the website the screen will
be divided into two sections. The left hand side of the
screen provides a menu that allows a parents/guardians
to view grades for each class. To view a
students grades click the "Grades 200X-200X" link below
the student's name.

Student Progress Report:
The Student Progress Report will appear after
clicking on a grade for a class and marking period.
This report displays the student's grade for each
assignment. All reports can be printed by clicking on
the Print button in the upper right hand corner of the
screen.

Changing Password:
It is recommended that you change your password
every few months for security purposes. To change your
password click on the "Change Password" link in the
upper right hand corner of the screen after logging into
the website.
