ART BIRTHDAY CLUB

New this year!  Each month we will be celebrating two artist’s birthdays.  Students will have the opportunity to research and write a short paragraph giving information about one or both of the artist’s lives.  Students who turn in artist information will receive an item from the Art Treasure Chest (full of amazing art goodies)!  Appropriate information about the artist may include his or her country of birth, what type of art they did, and what type of materials they used, etc.  Students may obtain information from the media center, public libraries, or online (with parent/guardian permission only).  A great website for artists and art history is:  www.metmuseum.org/toah/splash.htm
