At Mamie Agnes Jones we are creating a safe and civil environment through continuous improvement using positive and proactive choices in a non-threatening manner.

Safety Procedures
At 8:45 every morning our exterior doors will be locked and remain locked to create a secure environment. All visitors will need to come in through the first set of double doors at the Bus Port. Use the doorbell to enter and then check in at the front office. All visitors must sign in and are required to wear a badge or sticker while on campus. To check out a student you must have ID. These procedures have been put in place to maintain a secure and safe learning environment.

Our Flag Raising Ceremony

We have a unique tradition here at Mamie Agnes Jones that is held on the first Friday of every month. On this day, the 5th grade Patrols lead our school in a Flag Raising Ceremony. As our entire school participates, we recite the Pledge of Allegiance and our School Motto and then are addressed by our Principal, Mrs. Long. We take pride in being a part of a Great School in a Great Country!!

Early Checkout Policy for Duval County
Early checkout is defined as a parent or guardian signing a child out before the end of the school day. Students will not be released within the final 30 minutes of the school day unless the principal/designee determines it is an emergency or an excused event. Please submit written notes if you know that your child will need to leave early for any reason.
