Safety Procedures
At 8:45 every morning our exterior doors will be locked and remain locked to create a secure environment. All visitors will need to come in through the first set of double doors at the Bus Port. Use the doorbell to enter and then check in at the front office. All visitors must sign in and are required to wear a badge or sticker while on campus. To check out a student you must have ID. These procedures have been put in place to maintain a secure and safe learning environment.

Dear Parents,

Duval County is a hosting Family Reading Night at 11 Chick-Fil-A locations on Monday, January 23, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. to support Read It Forward Jax! The closest participating location (you can also find this list on readitforwardjax.org), to us is Roosevelt Square (904) 387-1322, 4495 Roosevelt Blvd. Ste 601, Jax, FL 32210.

I would like to encourage all of you to participate in this fun, upcoming event as 10% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Read It Forward Jax! to help purchase resources to improve students’ literacy skills.

Ed Pratt-Dannals and Board members will be present at various locations to lead read-a-louds and facilitate discussions about Read It Forward Jax! It is my intention to visit the Roosevelt location that evening. I am asking that all of you stop by any location listed to show your support for the Read It Forward Jax! initiative. Guests will also leave with tools to help promote literacy at home.

At each location there will be a book donation drop-off box, so I encourage everyone to bring a book with them to donate to the book drive.

On January 17th, invitations flyers will be sent home as a save the date.  Students will receive a ticket with our school's name on January 23rd to take with them for drawings and door prizes. Please help your child remember to turn them in at the event. These tickets will be tallied and the school with the most people in attendance will receive a Superintendent's Award and a breakfast party for their staff.

I look forward to this event being a great success and getting our community excited about Read It Forward Jax! Please add this event to your January calendars. See you there!

Sincerely,

Angela L. Long
