Spring has sprung along with our colorful azaleas across Mayport Coastal Sciences Academy. We extend a warm coastal welcome to our visiting scientists and tour guests! Along with in-depth grade level coastal units of study, our young coastal scientists have been busy reading and thinking about the following school-wide books-of-the-month this year:
Our popular K-5 Family Coastal Sciences Night event will be held Thursday, May 17th at 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in our café, courtyard, auditorium and Aquatic Sciences Lab. We hope that all of our families and friends will join us to inquire and explore together the wonders of our Northeast Florida coastal environments with our visiting scientists and community partners. There will be live music to relax and enjoy, interactive exhibits, along with opportunities to visit our newest lab addition – the saltwater touch tank critters! In addition, we hope to see parents, families, and guests at these upcoming spring events: May 1st Fourth Grade Coastal Family Night, 6:00 p.m., auditorium May 7th-11th Spring BOGO Book Fair, Media Center May 9th Vehicle Career Fair, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., back parking lot May 17th K-5 Family Coastal Sciences Night, 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. May 22nd PTA Coastal Bingo Family Night, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., auditorium We’re splashing through a FINtastic 2012!
