Resource

Our students are always excited when a resource time comes around. Our resource classes consist of Art, Music, Physical Education and Media classes. Each of these resources focus on specific activities dealing with their subject.

Music

Music at Merrill Road involves singing, playing instruments, and movement. We have fun, sing songs, and playing instruments. At the same time students learn about reading and writing different styles of music, explore different types of instruments, and learn musical terms. Also, all of the students get a chance to perform on the stage for their parents as part of the PTA program. We also have a yearly talent show that is open to all students.

Media

Mrs. Merritt's library is stocked full of fun and educational books. The students love going to media and listening to stories that she reads. Also, she checks out books to the students, so they can read them at their leisure.

Art

Art class is taught by Ms. Rieger. She is very talented and loves working with the children in different mediums such as paint and clay.

PE

At Physical Education class the students engage their brains, as well as their bodies, in learning. We cover sport skills, fitness activities and health and safety topics. We work on all that we do with excellence and joy. Ask anyone of our K through 2nd graders to recite the "Excellence and Joy" chant for you. Our goal is to be healthy, smart and Noblesse Oblige all the days of our lives. We're off to a good start!
