Principal's Message

Welcome to the Mt. Herman Exceptional Student Center website. We are proud of the fact that we work as a highly trained team of professional educators, nurses, therapists and paraprofessionals. We are also proud that there is a significant amount of family support and business partnership involvement in our school.

Students attending Mt. Herman must first go through an evaluation and Child Study Team process. Eligibility must first be determined via Child Find (District E.S.E. Office) or via the school based Child Study Team. Students must be eligible for the Profoundly Mentally Handicapped Program. For more information about the eligibility process, you may contact the district E.S.E. Admissions Office, or call our school for assistance (904-630-6740).

We are a center school, which serves approximately 155 students ages 3 through 22! Our staff is devoted to the school and our students. Most ESE programs and therapy services are available
on-site to serve our student's needs in a comprehensive, efficient manner.
