I welcome your interest in
the University of Cambridge AICE (Advanced International
Certificate of Education) Program at Mandarin High School. AICE is a
rigorous, pre-university program of study for academically talented and motivated
students who wish
to qualify for admission to the best colleges and universities. Upon
completion of
various phases of coursework, AICE students sit for University of
Cambridge
International Examinations in grades 11 and 12. Successful performance
on these
examinations (AS level) leads to advanced standing at the colleges and
universities to
which the student is admitted, as well as qualifying the student for the
University of
Cambridge AICE Diploma.
Please complete
the requested information carefully. Place the completed
application (except the teacher recommendation forms), a copy of your
latest
report card, and copies of your FCAT Reading and Math scores from 7th
grade in
a large manila envelope and return to me at MHS no later that January
25, 2008.
Letter informing
students of the Admission Committee's decision will be mailed
on February 19, 2008.
Student
commitment forms must be received by February 17, 2006.

Lisa Moore, Mandarin High # 260 to the four core academic teachers.
