This is my fourth year at Mandarin High School as the Assistant Principal for the St. John’s House.

I began working for Duval County Public Schools twenty three years ago in the department of Research, Assessment, and Evaluation. It was during my tenure there that I saw the need to further my education. So at the age of 41 I began my college career. I graduated from the University of North Florida with an Elementary Education degree and a master’s in Educational Leadership.

I am overjoyed to be working with the students and staff at Mandarin High School. Each day brings new challenges and delights.

I have two children, Seth and Angela, and six grandchildren, Bryanna, Aunalyse, Skylon, Wyatt, Seth Jr., and Trinity. My wonderful husband of thirty three years, Morris, has recently retired from Duval County Public Schools in the testing department. In my spare time (what’s that?) I love to quilt, make porcelain dolls, and host parties for all of our friends.

One of my philosophies of education is to build trust with all those I am associated with. This helps to create a strong foundation which is vital for successful relationships.  My mission in life is to make each day my masterpiece.
