MANDARIN HIGH COMMUNITY SCHOOL

 DRIVER EDUCATION PROGRAM

 

REQUIREMENTS:        

·       Mandarin High School student

·       Minimum age 15 years on 1st day of class

·       100% attendance required

·       NO open heeled shoes permitted (ie. flip-flops, sandals)

 

REGISTRATION:  TBA

 

FEE:  $160 for 42-hour non-credit course

            CASH OR MONEY ORDER ONLY (exact change please)

 

SCHEDULE:   TBA

 

CLASS DAYS  – Monday & Tuesday (7 Weeks)

 

CLASS TIME  –  2:45-5:45 PM (students report to the Cafeteria for study hall at 1:45)

 

LOCATION:    – Students report to the Portable Classroom located next    

                              to the Driver Education Range

 

Instruction includes:

·       Driving Skills

·       Earning a Waiver for the 4-hr.Drug and Alcohol Component

·       Earning a Waiver for Learner’s Permit

·       Possible reduction on car insurance (check with your Insurance Co.)

                                               

To earn a Driver License Waiver, student must score a minimum of 85% on

written tests, 85% on range driving skills, and 90% on street driving skills.

 

Please bring your permit on the first day of class, if you have no permit then bring your

original Birth Certificate & Social Security Card.
