Mandarin High School has enrolled all of its students in one of the premier
online skills practice websites, F.C.A.T. Explorer. The F.C.A.T. Explorer
is an official website of the Florida Department of Education, and contains
practice tests and reading passages for all F.C.A.T. skills.
All students have been set up with their own username and password on
F.C.A.T. Explorer so that they may access the site and practice the
important math and reading skills necessary to succeed on the F.C.A.T.
Tests. All the current F.C.A.T. benchmarks are available on the site, and
the practice lessons are presented in a visually attractive and colorful
format. The site can be accessed from any computer with Internet access,
and the site is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Parents are
being urged to encourage their children to avail themselves of this very
helpful website as often as possible.
Here is login information
for students to access FCAT Explorer:
Sign-in: last
name plus first initial i.e. smithj
password: 16
plus first four letters of last name plus 2 digit birth month
and 2 digit birthday i.e. 16smit0525
Once the students begin
working the online practice lessons, their teachers will be able to chart
their progress online, and to determine which F.C.A.T. benchmarks need to
be reinforced during their classes. This online skills practice site is an
excellent opportunity for teachers, students and parents to work together
as active participants in the student’s success in fulfilling the State
testing requirements. If you would like more information about this very
valuable online resource, visit the website at:
