Florida Financial Aid Application For Students Available

The Student Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) will be available online via the website at www.fafsa.ed.gov. www.FloridaStudentFinancialAid.org provides access to students seeking awards for the 2007-08 postsecondary academic year.

Any high school graduating student who applied for state-funded programs using the previous FFAA will need to apply using the correct application on or after December 1 of the current year.

•     The 2006 Florida Legislature enacted a new program, First Generation Matching Grant Program, and expanded applicant eligibility in Scholarships for Children and Spouses of Deceased or Disabled Veterans. The 2007-08 FFAA questions reflect these legislative changes.

Steps Students Should Take to Complete the Application Process:

•     Go to www.FloridaStudentFinancialAid.org.

•     Select State Grants, Scholarships & Applications and Apply Here to submit an online application.

 •     Select Programs Offered to view detailed state programs information, including the new and expanded programs listed above.

 •     Note individual program deadlines.

 •     Watch for official email or hardcopy acknowledgement communications, which provides each student with a USER ID and PIN to access the web and check and/or update application status.

 •     Check the status of certification and awards online.
