Subject: Police Officer
Comment: I have decided that I want to be a police officer. Next year I will be in 10th grade and I wanted to know if there is any one I can talk to about that. Thanks Bye
Our Response: We think it would be a great idea to talk to our very own school resource officer, Officer Harris.

Our Response: Absolutely nothing. Don't stress over whether or not you have a boyfriend, because there are more important things like friends, family, and school. The right one will come along at the right time, just be patient.

Subject: Last Week
Comment: when I talked about the last week of school I meant like how do the students act and how wild it is. Thanks
Our Response: Naturally the students are very excited that school is nearly out, but they don't act crazier or wilder than usual. Our teachers and administration still keep an eye on everyone and make sure we're safe and under control until the very last day. Also, further info about the school schedule during the last week can be found here.

Subject: Impressed
Comment: As a MHS graduate..i have to say I am quite impresed by this advice column. Sean and Alanna you guys are doing an amazing job..keep it up... I think it is wonderous how high school can take a toll on a teen physically and emotionally. There are times when one just wants help, and you two are really good at dishing it out..... Sincerely, a well left impression
Our Response: Thank you so much. We always try to be empathetic and give the best advice we can. :)

Subject: Candy Selling
Comment: Do you think it is right that we are not allowed to sell candy for personal profit at our school? I think it is better then what kids could be selling at school, it is a proven fact that some kids might think better when eating mints and other various food/candy. If kids are hungry then they need something to eat they will have something. It is not hurting the school so I think it is ok for us to sell candy. What do you think?
Our Response: We do believe that it's fair that students cannot sell candy to each other for personal profit at school. You say that it's not hurting the school, but in reality it is because it would be taking a good amount of money away from the sales that the cafeteria makes. In addition to that, students are more likely to take advantage of others and ask for higher prices for the candy, because they know the person will probably pay it. School is a place for education, not for selling items for personal gain.

Subject: Freshman
Comment: Why do you think freshmen are treated to bad, sometimes.
Our Response: Freshmen are sometimes treated badly simply because people believe that being older for some reason gives them the right to pick on those that are younger. They do it just for fun or to make themselves feel good, but of course this is not right to do. Even though there are people that pick on freshmen, there are many more that don't, so don't worry about it. Remember that they were freshmen not too long ago, and they are no better than you are.
