Mandarin High is Named Five-Star School

 

Mandarin High School was 1 of 17 Duval County public schools that were named Five Star Schools by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE). This symbol of achievement is presented each year to those schools that have shown evidence of exemplary community involvement and is the FLDOE's highest award for community involvement. The Five Star School Award was created by the Commissioner's Community Involvement Council an presented annually to those schools that have shown evidence of exemplary community involvement in order to earn Five Star school recognition, a school must have earned a grade of "C" or above for the 2006-2007 school year and must show documentation that it has achieved 100% of the established criteria in the categories of: Business partnerships, Family Involvement, Volunteerism, Student Community Service, and School Advisory Councils.
