Subject:
"bomb scare"
Comment:
As a freshmen at Mandarin High yesterday during 1st
period as i was about to begin my English exam was interrupted by the
announcement to evacuate the building. Though our class and teacher
thought it was a drill she told us to act as if it were real. Then as
the students filled into the stadium i started to think that this was
REAL. Next Ms. Talley came on the microphone and told us to remain calm
(which actually made more people worry about the situation.) I just
wanted to say what a fantastic job we all did ( except the girl running
across the field and getting arrested) and if this emergency would ever
occur again I know we would do a great job.

Response
We agree with
you that everyone involved; students, faculty, staff and administration
performed like a team during the bomb scare. It is good to know
that the Mandarin family can pull together when called upon.
