To foster and promote the
athletic program and school spirit at Mandarin High School.
To assist and support the
faculty members and coaches involved in the administration of the
athletic program.
To raise funds for special
equipment and programs deemed desirable by the Athletic Department
not specifically provided for by the Duval County School Board. The
Booster Club is a nonprofit organization. No part of the funds raised
shall benefit club members.

Scholarship Criteria
A $500 Scholarship will be awarded to a Male and a Female Athlete.
Eligibility
Requirements – for SENIORS only
v
Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA (on an unweighted 4.0) scale.
v
Participate in a sanctioned Varsity Sport at Mandarin High School.
vMust be
a Senior currently enrolled in a Duval County Public School.
vPlan to
attend and be accepted at a 2 or 4 year institution.
v
Complete the attached application.
v
Complete an essay of 350-500 words on “What Playing Sports at
Mandarin High School Has Meant to Me”.
vLetter
of Recommendation from your Varsity Coach.
v
Discipline Record from your House Administrator.
v
Personal Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or employer, etc.

an Official Transcript.

Children of presiding Booster Club Board Members are not eligible.

Scholarships will be awarded at the Senior Awards Assembly in May.
