Sunshine State Standards
Mandarin Oaks has two school counselors who serve our students. Pam Kibler has been at MOE for more than 15 years and was a classroom teacher before becoming a school counselor. Kristen Sands is in her second year at MOE and was also an intern in the guidance department at MOE before she began working here.
Mrs. Kibler helps coordinate Response to Intervention, 504’s, the Gifted screening process and is the facilitator for Varying Exceptionalities Individual Education Plan Meetings at our school.

FCAT Information
The Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) is part of Florida’s overall plan to increase student achievement by implementing higher standards. The FCAT, administered to students in Grades 3-11, contains two basic components: criterion-referenced tests (CRT), measuring selected benchmarks in Mathematics, Reading, Science, and Writing from the Sunshine State Standards (SSS); and norm-referenced tests (NRT) in Reading and Mathematics, measuring individual student performance against national norms.
