for 2011-2012

Requirement Letter.
All of the teachers at Oak Hill
Elementary School are excited to share the love of reading
through school-wide programs throughout the year!

Book/Reading Challenge: |
|
Students are encouraged to read in order keep up with set grade level
goals. Each nine week period, students are encouraged to
meet part of the end of the year goal. If students
meet the goals, they are rewarded by the school! Here
are the yearly goals:
¨ Kindergarten and
First Grade– 100
books (25 books per
quarter)
¨ Second Grades – 80
books (20 per
quarter)
¨ Third Grade – 30
books (8 books for
the first 3 quarters
and 6 for the last
quarter)
¨ Fourth and Fifth
Grade – 25 books (6
books for the first
3 quarters and 7 for
the last quarter)

Teachers
reading the Book of the Month: |

A
primary and intermediate teacher will make a Podcast
each month of the Book of the Month so students can
listen whenever they feel like listening! |

Read
it Forward Oak Hill on the School News:

encourage reading! |
