8th and 12th Grade Credit/Course Recovery
The summer program for 8th and 12th grade students is designed for 8th graders needing up to two credits for promotion to high school, and 12th graders needing up to two credits to graduate. All students will be exposed to a blended learning curriculum in which classes will be delivered virtually and face-to face. Classes will be created to address each individual learner and provide students with the necessary support to complete all classes. This summer five sites will offer core academic courses for graduation or departure from middle school. The sites are A. Philip Randolph Academy of Technology High School, Englewood High School, First Coast High School, Frank H. Peterson High School and Terry Parker High School. Core academic courses will be offered at these sites; if your student needs an elective to be promoted or to graduate, the school can approve Florida V-irtual as an option to obtain the elective. The district will identify eligible students by June 8th and reach out to all students who qualify in order to ensure their attendance. Once eligible students are invited, the following registration will need to be completed online. JTA buses passes will be provided free of charge for all students in need and breakfast and lunch will be offered as well. 8th and 12th Grade recovery will be offered from 7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. from June 22nd –July 31st (No School on July 3rd). School sites will assist with online registration.
