Ortega does not believe that education can only happen in the classroom. For that reason we have created a multitude of ways in which children can have hands on experiences that enrich them academically and socially. To date Ortega provides the following activities to enrich our students: TOTS-teachers of tomorrow

Mission/Vision statement:

staff at Ortega Elementary School are committed to meeting the
academic, social, and emotional needs of its students. We are
dedicated to providing our students with a challenging, educational
experience to promote life-long learning. We prepare our students to
become successful citizens in a culturally diverse world by
instilling the concepts of being organized, respectful, thoughtful,
enthusiastic, giving, and having an optimistic attitude toward life
and its endeavors. We believe it is our responsibility to find the
