Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year at Parkwood Heights!  Congratulations…we are very proud that our students earned a grade of “C” from the state of Florida based on achievement on the 2010-2011 Florida Comprehension Assessment Test (FCAT).

This year our school theme is” Blazing New Trails Towards Student Achievement”. Our goal is to set high standards and work with all students so they have the tools they need to reach those standards and be successful. We also want to continue to establish a partnership with our parents so they are aware of the school curriculum and understand how our learning strategies will help their children grow.

The teachers at Parkwood Heights are committed to excellence and quality education. Our teachers are focused and ready to team up with you this school year in a very positive and strategic way.  Our school is truly a learning community, in which all of us are talking together, training together, planning together, and talking about instructional strategies together;  a professional learning community for all stakeholders.

We hope that you join us and support us.  Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and our School Advisory Council (SAC) can always use parents to give us ideas and assistance with school activities, so please join our PTA.    I am looking forward to a great school year as we focus on the work of accomplishing our dreams.
