Meets monthly to discuss issues and concerns of students with autism.

PTA Meetings

Parents, teachers and the community meet the third Thursday of each month. Topics include break out sessions for parents covering literacy, FCAT and helping their child meet the standards.

A Basic Sign Language Class for Parents

A basic sign language class is offered for parents of hearing impaired children. The class meets for one hour weekly. The first class begins in August and continues for 15 weeks. The second class will begin in January. A free sign language book is provided.

Exceptional Student Education

Pinedale school has 12 self-contained classes for Exceptional Students as well as one resource class that services all grade levels. We have two Developmentally Delayed classes, three classes for the hearing impaired, two EMH classes as well as five classes for our autistic students. We have two full time speech and language pathologists that service the entire school. Presently we service approximately 130 students.
