TRACKERS

Guidance services are an integral part of Rutledge H. Pearson Elementary School.  The purpose of the services is to help students become educated, productive, and well adjusted citizens.

Guidance attempts to establish the emotional and attitudinal climate that will enhance the natural growth and development of the child.  The counselor's services will help students become increasingly self directed as well as learn to maximize his/her capacity and like him/herself and school.

This is accomplished through:

1. Self awareness activities
2. Individual counseling
3. Group guidance
4. Group counseling
5. Parent conferences
6. Testing
7. Assistance to teachers and staff
8. Information related to careers
9. Work with community agencies

Rutledge Pearson has a part-time guidance counselor to provide these services.
