This program is designed to motivate all students, including those yearning for
an academic challenge. Learning is enhanced through an instructional delivery model
that enriches the curriculum and incorporates gifted activities into the academic
program on a daily basis. We encourage higher level thinking skills and hold high expectations
for all of our students.
We are one of only two schools in our
district to receive the Rainforest Alliance science curriculum. This incredible enrichment
is supported by the Weaver Foundation.
Our
program is rigorous and is designed to prepare students for success. Our teachers receive specialized training,
such as gifted endorsement coursework and strategies, to work effectively with our young
learners.
R.V. Daniels offers a variety of resources and activities designed
to enrich the educational experience. Students are provided with

R.V. Daniels and Susie E. Tolbert are sister schools offering a full gifted and
academically talented school-wide program for grades K-5 where R.V.
Daniels houses grades K-2 and Susie E. Tolbert houses grades 3-5.We share resources and common
goals. Students can take advantage
of continuity programs at gifted and academically gifted and talented middle schools
(James Weldon Johnson, Julia Landon, and Darnell Cookman) with opportunities
to move on to Stanton College Preparatory and Paxon School for Advanced Studies high schools.
